Gary McPhee - Director & Co-Founder
Speciality: Children’s Safeguarding, QA, LSCB & Disability Services
Gary’s career in recruitment started by chance after having to end his professional sports career early, due to injury. In hindsight he realises the discipline and mental toughness he learned whilst working in the sports environment gave him the strong foundations needed to have a successful sales career in the recruitment industry.
In Gary’s early recruitment career he previously worked for Beresford Blake Thomas, Randstad and Eden Brown. He has always specialised in executive level recruitment within the social care sector and has a proven track record in the industry as a consultant and senior manager.
In the year prior to Hampton’s being founded Gary was very proud to be nominated for the national recruitment consultant of the year award. His enthusiasm, determination and ability to motivate others have seen both Gary and the teams he has managed quickly excel in high pressured sales environments.
As well as managing the day to day running and growth of Hampton’s, Gary specialises in working with candidates seeking either operational or strategic roles within children’s safeguarding, quality assurance or disability services.
- Gary won an FA Cup Player of the Round Award and was presented this by Prince William in 2007.
- Gary lived in the Netherlands for 5 years and can speak fluent Dutch.
- Gary fully recovered from breaking his back at the age of 21.
