Jo Parnell - Principal Consultant
Speciality: Interim Children's Services
Jo is an experienced consultant who has worked in the social care recruitment sector for the past fourteen years. She started her recruitment career with Beresford Blake Thomas, supplying residential workers and nursery nurses to both local authority and private sector clients. She then progressed to recruiting within the qualified social work sector for both children and adult services, and has stayed within Social Care ever since.
Jo has been recruting managers into the public sector since 2013, and has an excellent reputation with the clients and candidates she supports.
Jo concentrates on public sector managerial positions within Children's Services, SEND and Education. The roles range from Team Manager through to Director level nationwide, as well as covering Project and Programme management, Improvement, Commissioning and Consultancy roles.
Interesting facts:
- Jo studied dance from a young age, studied musical theatre at college, and is a huge fan of watching musicals in the west end.
- Jo is a keen traveller. Whille staying in the amazon jungle in South America she had a very lucky escape when a highly poisonous Brazilian wondering spider landed on her leg. Luckily it didn’t bite her as she was a nine hour drive from a hospital!
- Jo is the proud owner of a Blue Peter badge which she received when she was nine years old.
