Hampton's Resourcing are currently working exclusively with a well-established medium sized private company who provide care for the elderly and those with dementia to support them with the recruitment of a Business Development and Commissioning Manager covering a portfolio of Large Nursing Homes based in Essex.

The appointed Business Development and Commissioning Manager will be expected to successfully lead the development of the homes in order to establish and sustain long-term viability; providing a strong commercial and marketing perspective to ensure that the services are promoted as a 'Home of choice' within the local community.

You will work closely with the directors of the business or their representatives to meet the financial aims and targets of the business and to manage the referrals and occupancy of the services. A keen focus on developing relationships and building the private referrals pipeline.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • To develop the Homes' marketing and Business Plans in order to maximise occupancy, and generate income, ensuring that appropriate measures are put in place to attract and secure self-funding service users.
  • To develop, maintain and disseminate market intelligence to support the Homes' to position themselves and adapt where necessary to respond to changing market demands.
  • To positively promote the Homes' with prospective service users and their relatives, providing guidance and support to staff who have responsibility for marketing the Home's with relatives, commissioners and service users, dealing positively with feedback and complaints.
  • To foster and maintain strong working relationships with the local community; so that the Homes' increases its community presence and enhances opportunities for service users and their families.
  • To negotiate with a variety of external stakeholders on a range of matters, including supplier contracts and other financial matters, such as negotiating fees and delays in payment.

  • Strong business development skills
  • Commissioning & Referral Management
  • Private Fee-paying Market knowledge and experience
  • Increasing and Driving Occupancy within the Elderly Sector
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver tasks completed to a deadline

Annual Salary: Negotiable for the right candidate + Occupancy and KPI Bonus and additional Benefits
