Children's Registered Manager - Sutton - Up to £50K

Here at Hampton's Resourcing we are working with a close knit, family run residential care organisation who are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to open their BRAND NEW 3 bed EBD home based in Wallington, Sutton. An integral part of this role is to ensure and uphold a person-centred approach is formed and applied across the service, putting the needs of the young people at the centre of the excellent service delivery. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To hold legal responsibility for the registered children's home and manage all aspects of the effective management of the home, keeping compliance with Ofsted regulatory obligations
  • Provide, assess, and plan for the needs of the children through efficient care planning processes and ensure all staff are working towards the agreed care plans
  • To provide regular supervision for the care staff and maintain regular team meeting with all appropriate parties, ensuring records are kept
  • Manage multi agency working relationships and ensure effective communication with all concerned is maintained
  • Manage staff rotas and staff training by facilitating participation in training and development of the care team and assist staff to understand the importance of training to their roles and responsibilities

Skills and Experience:

  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • High knowledge of care standards including child protection and demonstrable experience of managing a similar service supporting children with EBD
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a manager within a children's residential care setting
  • Ability to supervise, manage and lead staff to reach the expected standards

Salary: Up to £50K


  • Monday - Friday working pattern with on call requirements
