Hampton's Resourcing are proud to be working exclusively with a Specialist Children's Residential Services provider to help them source an experienced Deputy Manager to oversee the running of their Brand-new Children's homes based in Nottingham.

Our client is dedicated to the cause to make a real difference to the lives of Children and have been extremely successful supporting Children and Young people with good to outstanding outcomes for the services they provide and the staff who support. The director has true passion and commitment to make a difference to the lives of children and young people are now expanding their services.

The company cater for children with Emotional Behavioural Disorders across 5 established therapeutic residential Children's homes. Our client is looking for experienced Deputy Managers within therapeutic services and looks forward to welcoming the successful Manager into a family orientated company.

The Permanent Salary: up to £38K (40 hours per week)

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Responsibility for the management of safeguarding children and young people, risk, and service governance.
  • Supervision and effective communication within the home so that all staff members have timely information that ensures the delivery of high-quality clinical and restorative informed practice and addresses practice issues.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive staff training and development programme to enable the service to have available all necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the young people.
  • To organise duty rotas to ensure that the needs of the young people are always met.

Experience and qualifications:

  • A strong candidate with excellent people skills and a drive to ensure young people are at the centre of decision-making and their voices are heard.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and young people, preferably in a children residential home, or equivalent settings.
  • QCF Level 3 or 4 in Residential childcare or equivalent - Essential
  • A passion for working with children - Essential.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of computer /word/outlook-based systems
  • An enhanced D.B.S check will be completed -Essential.
  • Full UK driving licence - Desirable.
  • Applicants will need to be flexible to work as per the need of the home.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
