Hampton's are working in partnership with a family-orientated children's residential provider, who are currently undergoing expansion, due to their ongoing success. Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to assist with the opening and overall management of their brand new children's home, which is located in Kettering.

Position: Deputy Manager
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Location: Burton- Latima, Kettering
Home: 4 bedded EBD home
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + additional benefits

About the company:
Our client has acquired the keys in hand and are ready to kick-start the transformation of their new home in Burton Latimer. While renovations are in the planning phase, we are actively seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join the team and play a key role in shaping the future of this wonderful provision. The Ofsted registration process is underway, led by one of the current Managers who will be dual managing.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • To provide leadership and management of the home.
  • To deputise as manager in RM absence
  • To provide on call support
  • To maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, incl. The Quality Standards, Every Child Matters, the Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policy and procedure.
  • To support the manage to manage the home to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people.
  • To support the manager to manage the home's staff team.
  • To support to manage a quality service aiming to achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
  • To represent the home to outside agencies and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements imposed by them and requirements of commissioners.


Experience and qualifications:
Qualified - You must hold a Diploma Level 3 in diploma for residential childcare or equivalent (Essential)
